Worship & Music

At Centereach Bible Church, we believe that music is an important part of Spirit-filled
worship. The Scriptures abound in exhortations for believers to express their praise for
God via man-made instruments (eg. 2 Chron. 5:13, Ps. 150:3-5, Ps. 133:2-3), as well as
their God-given vocal chords! (Ex. 15:1, Jer. 20:13, Eph. 5:19)

We acknowledge that our church is comprised of a diverse cross section of age and
musical preferences, therefore we strive to offer a “blended” worship approach, one
which celebrates the beauty of the traditional hymns of the Christian church along with
the excitement of today’s most loved praise and worship songs.

The goal of our worship team is glorify our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by leading the
congregation in a meaningful season of heartfelt worship, one that brings them closer
to God while reinforcing the theme of the day as established by Pastor Scott’s message.
Led by an experienced music director, we firmly believe that excellence in presentation,
which comes from prayerful, focused preparation and rehearsal, results in this goal being met with music that is a sweet sound to the ears of God.
